We were pleasantly surprised when @sarkodie made his acceptance speech at the recent @bet Awards. He was awarded the Best International Flow and in his speech he mentioned it was the Year of Return and asked everyone to choose Ghana if they are coming to Africa.

What a powerful message on an international stage. He has influenced so many of his peers and fans who never even thought of Ghana as a destination place.

Today during the Ghana Creative Industry Forum at the National Theatre, he was recognized for being an ambassador for Ghana.

Throughout his creative career as an artist, he stuck to his vision and always includes local language in his music. Despite some nay-sayers who said he should do English only to gain an international audience.

He has proven what it means to integrate your culture, heritage and language into an artform and become a global success.
