A facebook post shared by a popular Facebook user explained how a Ghanaian Police Officer had rattled out intentions the Ghanaian Police Service is making in getting civilians to fear them.
Mr.Essien who seemed really mad at how unfairly he got treated by a police officer narrated that, he properly parked his vehicle just at a bus stop near the most popular shopping center in Accra on the Spintex road adjacent to the Tema Motorway in other to drop some people off his vehicle when an angry looking police officer asked him to go and park his vehicle at the mall’s parking lot without giving tangible reasons.
Mr. Essien further said that, while explaining politely to the another police officer who was asked to sit in his car to ensure that he parks at the mall’s parking lot that he committed no offence, the other angry looking Officer shouted that the Police Team want civilians to fear them. ‘’Then the one without sense shouted on top of his voice and was like,
‘WE WANT YOU TO FEAR US’’
Another sad aspect that got some readers worried was the fact that the Police Officer was said to have made a bad utterance of him praying for war in the country,
I PRAY A WAR BREAKS OUT IN GHANA SO WE CAN SHOW YOU OUR TRUE COLORS SINCE YOU THE CIVILIANS SAID WE ARE NOT WORKING
In a close online interview with Essien, he expressed his worry as to why the same security officials who are being paid to protect people are now suppressing, intimidating, extorting money and putting civilians in a possible violence confrontation with them and therefore deemed it inappropriate for security officials to act as such towards civilians.
