Ghanaian boxer and “comedian” Bukom Banku has finally come out to state that he’ll never fight Bastie Samir again.
As can be recalled, Bukom Banku suffered his first professional loss at the hands of Bastie Samir 2 years ago.
The smaller looking Bastie Samir knocked out the loud-mouth Bukom Banku in round 7 of their 10-round bout.
After the loss, Banku stated that he wanted a rematch and both parties duly signed a contract to that effect but the match never materialised.
The Ghana Boxing Authority recently sanctioned Bukom Banku by revoking his license for not honering the contract for the rematch. He’s also to refund the money given him by the promoters to prepare for the fight.
In an interview on Okay FM, Bukom banku has given reason why he hasn’t made himself available for the rematch.
According to him, fighting Bastie again will lead to either his death or him suffering a stroke.
He explained that the first time he fought Bastie, he saw Bastie like a gaint in the right and he never suffered a stroke after the fight, therefore he won’t fight him again.
